Escape from the "Sailor's silence." FSIN asks for help in catching a criminal

The search continues for the 33-year-old Oleg Topalov, who escaped in the morning of May 7 from the Sailor Silence Prison, accused of double murder. The Federal Penitentiary Service appealed to citizens for help in apprehending a criminal.

Escape from the A law enforcement source told RIA-Novosti that Topalov, having managed, with the help of improvised objects, to expand the vent hole (the brickwork had become damp over the long life of the building), got onto the roof of his block.

Further, his path lay through the roof of the neighboring block to the Gilyarovsky psychiatric hospital located near the detention facility.

An eyewitness escaped told that at five in the morning a man came down the rope from the hospital wall, “shook himself off, changed his clothes, and went,” leaving a T-shirt on the fence (which hung there unnoticed for 10 hours).

Experts, and among them the lawyer Igor Trunov, who himself had spent more than three years in Matrosskaya Tishina, believe that it would have been impossible to escape without the help of the SIZO workers, Komsomolskaya Pravda writes. Trunov wonders how the fugitive could go unnoticed (all rooms in the isolator are equipped with alarms).

The FSIN reports that Topalov is mentally ill, prone to escapes, and asks all with any information to assist in his search.

Recall that Oleg Topalov, a resident of Sochi, was detained at the end of 2011. He is accused of murdering in the city of Bataisk of the Rostov region in 2010 the director of the company “Rosvtormet” Yuri Zvezdochkin and his driver, as well as in the illegal circulation of weapons.

According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, Topalov was a member of the gang of Dmitry Lesnikov (nicknamed Les), who has close ties with the clan of Ded Khasan killed in January 2013.
